  • 4 cup Flour
  • 1 tbsp Shortening
  • 2 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 dash Salt
  • 1 bunch Warm water

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Slowly add water and shortening, pinching dough while mixing.

    Work dough until all ingredients mixed in, but do not overwork dough.

    (Optional: let dough rest for several minutes)

    When ready squeeze dough to form ball.

    Form disk over fist or back of hand.

    Fry in hot oil until golden both sides; 5 min.

    Drain on paper.

    There are several versions and you can use milk instead of water.
