- 12 egg yolks
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 large cake yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 8 c. flour
- egg white
Directions

1Beat yolks and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Mix yeast and water.

3Let set 5 minutes.

4Heat milk and butter; cool until lukewarm.

5Add milk mixture to egg mixture, yeast and vanilla. Mix in flour; knead 10 minutes.

6Put in greased bowl; punch down. Raise again; punch down.

7Shape in regular loaves or braided loaves.

8Brush gently with egg white.

9Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
