- 4 c. flour
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt (optional)
- 1 3/4 c. milk (room temperature, if possible)
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 stick butter, melted
- 1 box raisins (2 c.), soaked in hot water
Directions

1Mix first 4 ingredients.

2Melt butter and mix with eggs and milk.

3Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients.

4Mix thoroughly. Pour into two greased and floured 8-inch pans.

5Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes depending on oven.
