  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 lb. hot sausage
  • 48 oz. Ragu
  • 1 (16 oz.) box lasagna, uncooked
  • 1 lb. Ricotta cheese
  • 1 lb. large curd cottage cheese
  • 16 oz. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 c. grated Parmesan cheese or Romano cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley or dried
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Brown ground chuck and hot sausage.

    Add sauce and simmer 1/2 hour.

    Combine cheeses, eggs, parsley, salt and pepper for filling.

    Pour about 1/2 cup meat sauce on bottom of large pan (large roaster pan or 2 lasagna pans).

    Lay 4 or 5 pieces of dry lasagna noodles lengthwise over sauce; leave space for expansion. Spread with cheese sauce.

    Alternate until full, ending with meat sauce.

    Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
