  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 12 cup whole wheat flour
  • 12 cup grape nuts cereal
  • 12 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 13 cup applesauce
  • 14 cup honey
  • 14 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 16 ounces mixed dried fruit (or dried fruit cut up)
  • 14 cup sunflower seeds
  • 14 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

    Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

    Line an 8x8x2 inch baking pan with aluminum foil.

    Spray foil with nonstick cooking spray.

    Set pan aside.

    In a large bowl combine oats, flour, grape nuts cereal and ginger.

    Add egg, applesauce, honey, brown sugar and oil; mix well.

    Stir in fruit bits, sunflower seeds and walnuts.

    Spread mixture evenly in prepared pan.

    Bake 30-35 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges.

    Cool on a wire rack.

    Use edges of foil to lift from pan.
