- 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
- 2 (9 oz.) pkg. mincemeat (condensed)
- 1 c. chopped pared apple
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 1/2 c. water
Directions

1Brown beef in small skillet; drain.

2Break mincemeat in small pieces.

3Mix beef, mincemeat, apple and sugar.

4Add water; heat to boiling.

5Boil and stir 3 minutes.

6Cool.

7Prepare pastry.

8Pour mincemeat mixture into pastry-lined 9-inch pan.

9Bake until pie is bubbly at 425° and crust is brown, 35 to 45 minutes.

10Makes a 9-inch two crust pie.
