  • 3 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 c. Karo dark corn syrup
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 c. whole pecans
  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Directions

    In large bowl, stir together first 5 ingredients until well blended.

    Stir in pecans.

    Pour into pie shell.

    Cover edge of pie shell with aluminum foil strips.

    Bake in 350° oven for 50 to 55 minutes, removing foil for the last 5 minutes.

    Check for doneness by inserting knife halfway between center and edge.

    It should come out clean.

    Cool.
