- 1 thin strip steak (about 4 oz.)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. coarsely-crushed peppercorns
- salt
Directions

1Trim excess fat from steak and discard.

2Press peppercorns into both sides of steak with heel of hand.

3Melt butter in pan large enough to hold steak.

4When butter is sizzling, brown steak on one side, turn and brown second side.

5Reduce heat and finish cooking steak.

6(To test, make a small slash with a sharp knife to see if steak is as done as you want it to be.)

7Season with salt to taste.
