- 1/2 c. shortening
- 2 3/4 c. sugar
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1/4 c. milk (sweet)
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3/4 c. crushed pineapple (undrained)
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 6 eggs (large)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
Directions

1Combine shortening, butter and sugar.

2Cream until light and fluffy.

3Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.

4Combine flour and baking powder.

5Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk and flavoring.

6Stir in pineapple.

7Pour batter into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan.

8Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

9Cool 10 to 15 minutes.
