Potato Bacon Chowder

Ingredients

  • 8 slices bacon
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 c. cubed potatoes (2 medium)
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • butter or margarine
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. (1 c.) dairy sour cream
  • 1 3/4 c. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. chopped parsley

Directions

    Cook bacon until crisp.

    Saute onion in butter.

    Put all ingredients in a pan, except sour cream.

    Add crumbled bacon and cook until done.

    Do not drain potatoes.

    Add sour cream and let heat 5 to 10 minutes.

    Serve with crackers.
