Ingredients
- 2 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 c. mashed, cooked potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 4 1/2 to 5 c. flour
- 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp. chopped chives
Directions

1In cup, dissolve yeast and sugar in water; let stand until foamy.

2In large mixer bowl, combine sour cream, potatoes, eggs, salt and 2 cups of the flour.

3Add yeast and beat at medium speed for about 4 minutes.

4Stir in chives.

5Add 2 1/2 cups flour to make a stiff dough.

6Turn out onto floured surface and knead just long enough to work in remaining 1/2 cup flour and make dough elastic.

7Place in greased bowl and cover with damp cloth.

8Let rise until double in bulk (1 1/2 hours).

9Punch down dough.
