Scalloped Cabbage

  • 1 medium to large head cabbage
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • about 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 8 oz. Cheddar cheese (reserve 1/4 c. for topping)

Directions

    Cut cabbage into eighths.

    Add onion, salt and water.

    Cook together until tender; drain.

    Add other ingredients and put in large baking dish.

    Sprinkle cheese on top.

    Bake at 350° for about 20 minutes or until brown and bubbly.

    You may substitute 1 can Cheddar cheese soup and sprinkle some cheese on top.
