  • 1 1/2 qt. water
  • 2 lb. medium shrimp
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 c. chopped onions
  • 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped green onions
  • 1 Tbsp. minced parsley
  • 3 cloves minced garlic
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1 Tbsp. Lea & Perrins
  • 4 thin slices lemon
  • 2/3 c. oil
  • 1 c. flour

Directions

    Make roux using oil and flour.

    Add seasoning and cook until wilted.

    Add tomato sauce, water and remaining ingredients.

    Let simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
