Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 1/2 to 2 cans water
  • 2 Tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • pinch of thyme
  • 2 lb. shrimp
  • 1/8 tsp. red pepper

Directions

    Heat oil over medium heat, add onion and cook until soft, about 6 minutes.

    Stir garlic and bell pepper and saute 2 minutes. Blend in flour; add tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.

    Stir in water, thyme, parsley and shrimp.

    Simmer 30 minutes.

    Serve over rice.
