  • 1 medium large head cabbage
  • 2 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Chop cabbage fine and drop into boiling salted water for about 8 minutes.

    Prepare white sauce by combining butter, flour and milk in a saucepan.

    Put saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

    Add cheese.

    Arrange layers of drained cabbage, white sauce and eggs; repeat.

    Top with bread crumbs dotted with butter and bake at 350° for about 30 minutes.
