  • 3 (10 oz.) boxes frozen, chopped spinach
  • 1/2 c. spinach liquid, reserved from cooking spinach
  • 1 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. skim milk
  • 1 (6 oz.) roll hot pepper cheese, cubed
  • 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

    Cook spinach according to directions on package; drain well, reserving 1/2 cup spinach liquid.

    Set aside.

    In pan coated with nonstick cooking spray, melt margarine and saute onion until tender.

    Add flour; stir.

    Gradually add milk and spinach liquid to make sauce.

    Cook until mixture thickens.

    Add cheese and seasonings; cook until cheese is melted.

    Add spinach to pan, combining well.
