- 12 large cucumbers, peeled and seeded
- 2 lb. onions
- 3 green sweet peppers
- 2 red or yellow sweet peppers
- 1/2 c. pickling salt
- 6 c. white sugar
- 32 oz. white vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. turmeric
- 1 gal. water
- 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
- 1 Tbsp. celery seed
- 3 Tbsp. cornstarch
Directions

1Put vegetables through medium food chopper or chop in food processor.

2Put in crock with 1/2 cup pickling salt mixed with one gallon water.

3Let stand overnight.

4Drain and squeeze water out. Boil together sugar, vinegar, turmeric, mustard and celery seed. Simmer for 1 hour.

5Add ground vegetables.

6Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes. Mix 3 tablespoons cornstarch in a little water and cook a few minutes.

7Put in sterilized jars.
