- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 lb. beef sirloin, cut into 1/2 x 3-inch strips
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1/4 c. regular all-purpose flour
- 1/4 c. tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 c. beef stock
- 1 c. dairy sour cream (at room temperature)
- hot buttered noodles
Directions

1Combine salt and 1 1/2 tablespoons flour; coat meat with mixture.

2Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet; brown meat slowly on all sides.

3Add mushrooms, onion and garlic; saute until onion is barely tender.

4Remove meat and mushrooms.

5Add 2 tablespoons butter to skillet; when melted, blend in 1/4 cup flour.

6Remove from heat.

7Add tomato sauce; gradually add beef stock.

8Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.

9Cook 2 additional minutes.

10Reduce heat to very low; return meat and mushrooms to skillet and heat for 5 minutes.

11Stir in sour cream; do not boil.

12Serve over hot buttered noodles. Makes 6 servings.
